Ultimate Shield Against Negativity (Raksha Kavach): Maa Durga dispels malevolent energies, evil eye (drishti), occult influences, and hidden adversaries from the living space.

Instills Fearlessness & Willpower: Her presence clears anxiety, lethargy, and self-doubt, imbuing family members or business leaders with bold decision-making power.

Navratri & Daily Spiritual Power: A revered focal point during Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri to invoke Shakti (divine energy) and material contentment.

Vastu Energy Balancing: The union of solid brass (grounding metal element) with Devi’s fiery energy (Agni Tattva) removes stagnant doshas and raises the vibration of the home.

Best Directions (Vastu Shastra):
Northeast (Ishanya Kona): The primary sacred sector for home mandirs; place the idol facing East or North for devotional elevation and peace.
North / North-West: Placing Maa Durga in the North promotes success in competitive ventures, while North-West supports clarity and overcoming opposition.
Note: Avoid placing the murti in bedrooms or directly facing south without proper mandir enclosure.

Setup Steps:
Cleanse the murti gently with rose water or Gangajal before consecration.
Place upon a clean red or yellow silk/velvet cloth on an altar or marble slab. Apply fresh vermilion (kumkum) or red sandalwood tilak to Devi’s forehead.
Light a brass diya filled with pure cow ghee or sesame oil, burn fragrant incense, offer red flowers (such as hibiscus or rose), and chant “Om Dum Durgayei Namaha”.
